The International Tax Authority (the “ITA”) wishes to inform all reporting entities and constituent entities that the British Virgin Islands Financial Account Reporting system (“BVIFARs”) will be under maintenance in preparation to accommodate the OECD’s new version 2.0 schema.

BVIFARs will be offline and therefore inaccessible from 31st December 2020 to 7th January 2021.

BVIFARS will return online and will be accessible on 8th January 2021 to 13th January 2021.

Reporting entities and constituent entities must ensure that all reporting obligations are fulfilled on or before 13th January 2021.

Any reporting obligations, that have not been fulfilled on or before 13th January 2021 in version 1.0 schema; please note that filings submitted after 13th January 2020 must be submitted in accordance with version 2.0 schema.

Kindly note that BVIFARs will undergo configuration for version 2.0 schema between 16th January 2021 to 5th February 2021. The ITA apologizes in advance for any inconvenience this may cause as there may be interruptions during this time.
