The Government of the Virgin Islands has commissioned the extension of the BOSSs platform to allow for declarations to be made in line with the Economic Substance requirements in the Virgin Islands. All legal entities must make these declaration via their Registered Agents as ONLY Registered Agents have access to the BOSS(ES)s portal. BOSSs Portal Update

The International Tax Authority (“ITA”) is pleased to notify all Registered Agents (“RAs”) of the latest release of the BOSS(ES) portal, which provides additional functionality to the ITA. For RAs requiring change(s) to previously submitted declarations, we are now able to reopen the filed declarations. You may make your appeal known by sending an email to the ITA with the following information: - The name of the Company on whose behalf the declaration was made; and - A reason for reopening the declaration (please be detailed.) BOSS(ES)s PORTAL HAS GONE LIVE!

The International Tax Authority (the “ITA”), wishes to inform all Registered Agents (“RA’s”) and Legal Entities with reporting obligations under the Economic Substance (Companies and Limited Partnerships) Act, 2018 and the Beneficial Ownership Secure Search System Act, 2017 that Economic Substance Portal as integrated with the Beneficial Ownership Secure Search system (“BOSS(ES)s”) has gone live on Friday 12 June, 2020. BVI Financial Account Reporting System

The International Tax Authority has created a web-based portal to provide a secure environment for BVI Financial Institutions to satisfy their obligations under the Agreement between the Government of the British Virgin Islands and the Government of the United States of America to Improve Tax Compliance via the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (US FATCA), the Agreement between the Government of the British Virgin Islands and the Government of the United Kingdom to Improve International Tax Compliance (UK CDOT) and the Arrangement under the Common Reporting Standards (CRS).
