The British Virgin Islands International Tax Authority (BVIITA) is informing users of the BVI Financial Account Reporting Systems (BVIFARS) of the following:

  1. ISSUES WITH MAKING PAYMENTS VIA CREDIT CARDS

Users of the BVIFars portal who are currently experiencing difficulties making bulk payments via credit card or are unable to complete the payment transaction using a credit card should contact us promptly at payments@bviita.vg. Please ensure that your email subject line is “BVIFARs Payment difficulties”, in the body of the email please outline the difficulties you are facing so that your email can be appropriately addressed.

  1. USER ACCESS

Only primary and secondary users who have been assigned “FI permissions” under their access profile are authorized to make payments via the BVIFars portal. Users without the appropriate access level will not be able to process payments.

  1. ANNUAL FEE APPLICATION

All relevant entities that are currently enrolled in the portal are subject to the annual. Where an entity has submitted an entity deactivation request on or before 8 April 2025 are not required to make the annual fee payment unless the request has been declined by the BVI ITA.  Where a relevant entity makes an entity deactivation request after the 8 April, 2025 please ensure that all filings are up to date and that the entity is in good standing with the annual fee before proceeding with the application.

  1. BVIFars Service Status

The ITA website now includes real-time service status updates for the BVIFars portal, including the payment module and email notifications.

• In the top right corner of the page, next to “Contact Us”; and
• At the bottom of the BVIFars page
