The International Tax Authority (the “ITA”) wishes to extend its apology to Portal users, as over the last few weeks we have received queries concerning the BVIFars Portal. We are cognizant that this issue had affected some Portal users with respect to nil filings and XML uploads.

Our Team had been working diligently on the issue, and as such; the ITA wishes to inform Portal users that the issue has been resolved and Portal users can re-commence with their filing obligations.

Further, we note that the filings deadlines are approaching and considering the above, the ITA wishes to inform all Virgin Islands Financial Institutions (“VIFI”’s) and Constituent Entities that the filing deadline has been extended.

For all VIFI’s, the filing deadline for CRS and FATCA is 31 May 2021. Kindly note that CRS and FATCA reporting deadline is now extended to 30 June 2021.

For Constituent Entities, the filing deadline is no later than 12 months after the last day of the reporting fiscal year of the MNE Group. For those entities where reporting is currently due based upon the reporting fiscal year of the MNE Group, CBCr reporting is also now extended to 30 June 2021.

The ITA apologises for the inconvenience caused over the last few weeks, however; we thank you for your patience and understanding.
